As the new A.C.O.P’s president I would like to thank all those who voted for me. During my term I intend to do everything I can along with my fellow board members to improve your working conditions here at the police department, as well as in the county as a whole. I plan to continue the work done by my predecessors in reference to issues regarding pay, health care, and retirement. I would also like to see us achieve actual UNION representation in order to gain political backing that would build strength within the union. I also intend to work hand in hand with the Arlington Professional Firefighters and Paramedics Association. Ultimately I would like to see ONE public safety union, united together to achieve better pay, health care and retirement, all the while taking care of the day to day workings with in the department.

I would like to thank Chief Scott and his command staff for their support of A.C.O.P’s. We look forward to working together in order to continue making positive changes for everyone here at the department. I would also like to thank the union members for their patience during the change in board members. As we ourselves continue to get settled in we intend to supply you with as much information as we are able to obtain on the issues you deem important. We will hold at least one quarterly membership meeting starting in 2007.

I would also like to thank Ofc.Brynn Bennett, for his continued hard work in bringing you this new and updated website.
